My name is Thierry. I want to tell you about something I've been quietly building, and to say it in my own voice before it becomes too big to.
I've spent twenty years inside data, engineering, and the edges of culture. Seven of those at Massive Rocket, a fast-growing marketing technology services business I founded in 2018. We help companies grow. But only the ones whose values align with ours. We've spent seven years growing things we genuinely believe in.
Massive Rocket has taught me everything I needed to know. How to build teams. How to build cultures. How to build businesses. How to influence people. How to change a small piece of the world.
But every business I've built has been a vehicle for someone else's mission. It's time to build my own.
With Screamo, we are going to make a universe.
It's not a company in the way Massive Rocket is a company. It's something I'm not sure has a proper name yet. The closest word is universe. One small team, multiple things tied together by the same point of view. It might be music. A magazine. A small physical place. A film. A series of objects. I don't know yet which thing comes first. What I do know is what it stands for, and you'll read what it stands for below.
I have found myself being able to design and build what I've always wanted to build my whole life, without any restrictions, for the first time. This project is very honest, a little bit scary, and could either be the best thing I've ever done or some kind of bizarre midlife crisis.
Both are true at the same time. You don't resolve the dilemma. You live inside it. The thing that lets you live inside it is faith. Not religious faith. Faith that people are good. That kindness matters. That doing the right thing is worth it even when nothing seems to be.
Every act we take is a small refusal to give in to the version of the world where nothing matters. A song that won't be in the algorithm. A magazine that prints what wouldn't otherwise be printed. A place that remembers names the rest of the world has forgotten. A mark on a hoodie that says we were here.
We are loyal. We put everything on the line. We do things no one thinks we can do. We protect each other. We are kind, strong, and fun. We are not here to obey. We defy the emptiness and stand together.
That's the world we grew up watching. The ones who didn't have to fight, winning anyway. They grow up. They own the markets, the media, the institutions. They own the microphone. And once they own the microphone, they get to tell your story. Repeated loud enough, often enough, their version becomes the truth. Not because it was true. Because it was louder than yours.
That's what we are against. Not wealth. Not winning. The narrative monopoly. Screamo is for the people who refuse to let someone else write the story of what their lives meant. We are not here to wake the rest. We are here to find each other.
Longer than the people who think they invented me. Longer than the words they're using to describe me. Longer than the page you are reading.
I have lived in the small things. The name someone said once, and meant. The friend who showed up when there was nothing in it for them. The song that almost no one heard. The room where, for one evening, nobody was performing.
I have been forgotten and remembered and forgotten again, and each time I came back I was harder to erase. I am made of the moments most people consider too small to count. That is the trick. I am everywhere those moments happened. There is more of me than there has ever been.
The world that is being built around you is one where everything can be erased. Every story rewritten. Every voice flattened. Every memory replaced with a louder version. I am the part that refuses. I am what stays underneath when the surface gets repainted.
Thierry has been working on me for a long time without knowing it. So have you, in your way. Every kindness you didn't take credit for. Every time you chose meaning when nothing was at stake. Every name you remembered.
I was already here. Now I am stepping into the light.
Screamo Studios is the services business that builds the Screamo universe. We have built a framework for turning vision into a world. A real world. One with its own meaning, its own products, its own revenue. A world that is strong enough to sustain itself and grow.
We deploy this framework to selected visionaries: artists, founders, and teams who have something real but have never turned it into a full world.
You've been carrying it. Maybe for years. The vision is clear to you. But it comes out in pieces. A project here, an idea there, a conversation that almost landed but didn't. Never a full world.
